Will the world finally become round?

If you ask people to choose between two shapes best representing their personality, those who prefer structures, rules and stability will choose a square. A circle will be the choice of those who focus on people, relationships and emotions.
But the question itself is a flaunt. Set in a sense of dualism – being one but not the other. Dualism is very popular in the square world. If I do not agree, I disagree; what is not right, is wrong; what is not good, is bad; not new is old; not pretty is ugly; not easy is hard…. What about if not easy is worth trying for? If not new is still interesting? If it isn’t right but also not wrong?
Obviously the rules to make our everyday easier. But apart from rules there are also relationships. There are people. There are feelings. How many companies or countries have round guidelines, laws, buildings, furniture, equipment?
Interesting enough that countries try to sort out the recession mess with even more rules. Companies and countries are forming new square cages, whereas people discover their completeness.
Employees and entrepreneurs used to live in a square world. Square world does not handle roundness well – no feeling, no troubles, no joy. In the corporate world it is all about composure, control, ratio. Only one part of the human being is appreciated.
Dualism. What is rational, cannot be emotional.
But the human being is not two halves with an “on/off” mechanism. It is an undivided completeness. And less and less people are willing to adjust to corporative frames and mindsets. They are looking for meaning, mission and added value.
And if it is hard to find good managers, sales people and other employees, what does this mean for the economy? Will successful companies be led by mediocre people? Will professionals not be employed? Will R&D not be performed in corporations?
When will corporation become cooperation? Who will be the first and who will not survive as coming in second?
When the individual and not cooperation chooses, what does this mean for future cooperation?
How do you retain talents in a round world? Do we jam the circle in a square or do we allow the circle to expand beyond the square?
In this respect, are corporation dinosaurs or caterpillars? Will they die out or will they become butterflies?
Do you dare to imagine a country without a state, a corporation without forms and norms, employees with a human touch, buildings made for body and soul, menus that cure not intoxicate….?
Can you imagine a round not a square world?
