This year one of my topics for my personal growth was to be more patient. This is a huge challenge as I really did not get patience as part of my DNA. :) I got engraved the sense of urgency however… My mind-pattern was : all is just so very important and has to be done, decided upon or dealt with this second. Later it will be too late. And the consequences will be disastrous. So I always wanted to things to be done faster and usually created a sense of urgency. I guess this is kind of a stereotype – all women pack too many items when they go away.
Well in my experience it is not just women. We all tend to carry with us more than we need. I was never a person with tons of suitcases but I always would bring home from my journeys several garments I never wore. I guess I just wanted to be prepared for all that might come along. I guess being in control would be the proper word.
And than the trip to Malaysia came last year. Different to the others, it was not pre-planned by me. No books read, no itinerary done, no “must-sees” detected. We just booked the tickets and the hotel for the first two nights. And two days before.
