All eggs in one basket

In business and in life we are often taught not to carry all the eggs in one basket. Dispersion of risk is something that is often recommended by different professionals.
But is this really the case, when we take normal living situations? Do we have more than one partner in case something goes wrong? Do we have tens of children in case one does not turn out right? Do we usually have more than one job in case we lose one? Do we eat appetizers, main course and desert at the same time to ensure they will still be there?…
In several life situations we focus all our energy on one goal, purpose or person. Is this the right way? No idea! But I do think it is a better way in order to achieve what we want. Many successful people also say, that all they saw was the goal – not 10 different goals, 1 goal. But a wast majority of ways to get there.
Have you ever had a friend who just could not find the right partner, despite dating several? A family member not getting a job, despite sending out hundreds and thousands of application letters?
I am strongly convinced, that if we want to achieve something, we have to put our energy to it. The light does not cut through glass, laser does – focused energy. If I really want a job the best way is to define THE JOB! What would I want to do, where, with whom… Creating our ideal job, will make it clearer for us, what we really want. And when we know that, we can focus on finding that job. And then, there is only a simple step of creating 20.000 strategies to get there and the job, partner, house, vacation,…. is yours. Sometimes patience is needed, but this does not mean that we let go on the focus.
So put all your eggs – all your attention to one goal (I guess this is called commitment). This will create a lot of energy. And than start cutting the glass into the shape you like. Is it risky? Maybe, as long as you do not get the experience that it works. Is it worth it? You bet! Is it fun? Only if you believe that you are the master and creator of your life.
How did it go?
